Welcome to Workforce Development!

If you are a professional recently displaced from your job, or a professional who considers your job to be at-risk, this website will navigate you through the myriad of programs UNC Charlotte offers that can help you in your career transition, or that can help you develop new skills to enhance your value in your present position.

When professionals with baccalaureate degrees conclude that they need additional education in order to find a job, or to enhance their credentials in their current job, they tend to turn to a university – so that the additional credential they earn is awarded at the university-level.  UNC Charlotte, the region’s urban public research university, is here to help you.

We offer a wide variety of shorter-term academic and continuing education certificates.

Continuing Education certificates can typically be completed in 3-4 months.

Graduate-credit certificates can typically be completed in 12-15 months.

In addition, you can choose from 18 doctoral degrees, 62 master's degrees, and 90 baccalaureate degrees.

As you consider your next steps, many resources are available to help you identify jobs likely to be in demand in the future, and to help you with your job search.

We invite you to explore the links provided in the left-hand column which will take you directly to more information on Continuing Education Certificates, Graduate Credit Certificates, and Other Degree and Non-Degree Programs available at the University.  Or, if you wish, explore all that UNC Charlotte has to offer by going directly to UNC Charlotte's main webpage.
